You may also hear them referred to as 55+ Community or Gated Community?

Now matter what you call it, its great "Senior Living" !

Generally this means that at least one resident must be at least 55 years old and no one under the age of 18 may reside within the community.

These retirement communities are often gated and/or guarded communities. So people that don't belong can't get in.

Active Adult Communities offer fun stuff in a close to home safe environment. Depending on the community you choose these things could include: golfing, tennis, swimming, crafts, ballroom dancing, bocce ball, horseshoes, fishing, library, & hot tubs.

Maintenance fees vary for individual communities, but can include: landscaping, garbage/trash collection, security, basic cable, use of recreation areas & maintenance of recreation and/or common areas.
